Catch You on the Flip Side

-------

Beauty_BLOG_collage_2[1]

The side-swept look we saw last season at Pucci made an appearance on Dree Hemingway at last night’s amfAR gala in New York City. For makeup that was as low-key as Hemingway’s tousled swoosh, face painter Nico Guilis mixed Tarte Maracuja Oil with Chanel Vitalumière Aqua foundation for a glowy complexion, then added bronzer along with NARS’ The Multiple in Malibu on the cheeks for a hint of color. To subtly define the lash lines, she used NARS matte shadow in Blondie and topped off lashes with Chanel mascara in brown. Brow pencil and lip balm polished off the paired-down package. We may be focused on Fall, but a Spring 2014 throwback is always welcome—especially on a Thursday.

Milla Gives Cannes Some Lip

-------

Milla Jovovich and her amfAR Versace gown got prime placement in our “Best of Cannes” slideshow, but her bold lip color choices over the past week deserve a shout-out, too. The L’Oréal spokesmodel ventured into both deep scarlet and light fuchsia territory, with her eyes heavily lined in black pigment and her chin-grazing bob fashioned into a charming seventies-era side-sweep. We’re partial to Milla in crimson, but let us know below if you’d like to mount a case for pink.
