-------

pat-mcgrath-crop“I’ve never seen someone travel with so much in my life,” model Naomi Campbell told WSJ. Magazine of Pat McGrath’s makeup cache. “And that says something, coming from me.” But the face painter made a case for not packing light: “When you walk into a room and there are racks and racks of beautiful clothes, do you really want to ruin it all with a bad lipstick?” she said. Point taken. [WSJ. Magazine]

L’Oréal Paris has certainly scooped up a lot of star power in the past few weeks (signing both Blake Lively and Lara Stone as spokeswomen for the brand). But according to recent reports, Adele won’t be belting out “Because you’re worth it” anytime soon. Not even for 12 million pounds. [Refinery29]

Two Jennifers have recently made the chop—but not out of desire for kicky new cuts. For Jennifer Aniston, it was a Brazilian blow-out gone terribly wrong that did her in, but Jennifer Lawrence has Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence to blame. Constant hair-dyeing, in the name of Katniss, left this tribute’s long strands fried and a pixie in their place. [New York]

L’Oréal Paris’ Latest Addition: Blake Lively

-------

Annoucement Of The New Egerie L Oreal Paris : Blake LivelyIt’s not exactly shocking that Blake Lively is joining the L’Oréal Paris family as a global spokesperson. The actress comes in on the heels of model Lara Stone, who was announced as the face of the cosmetic giant just over two weeks ago. Looks like the brand is stocking up on big hitters to sell beauty products and the message “Because you’re worth it.” And who wouldn’t want to look every bit as blond and glowing as Lively did yesterday in Paris, wearing a powder blue houndstooth-print Balmain dress and bubblegum pink lipstick?

Spoiler alert: Kate Middleton is still the number-one hair icon in Great Britain, according to a survey recently conducted by Kérastase. [Hello]

Blake Lively’s Mother’s Day shopping was made easy, thanks to her lucrative fragrance contract with Gucci. “When [my mom] smelled my Gucci Premiere, the bottle was gone from my shelf in about two seconds,” the actress said when discussing how she planned on gifting her mom this past weekend. Had Lively’s mother been a Chanel No. 5 fan, we imagine this new release from the French brand might have caught her eye: Today comes news that Chanel has created a limited-edition, giant bottle of the Grand Extrait version of its iconic scent, which is filled with nearly two pounds of perfume. The oversize flacon rings in at a whopping $4,200. [WSJ.]

Met Ball Beauty Extra; 08-09-13; And More…

Full disclosure: We had no idea Zooey Deschanel was at the Met Ball last night, until numerous sources credited her to that seersucker Tommy Hilfiger gown—and a fringe-free face! The New Girl star was downright unrecognizable without her signature brow-grazing bangs. [Perez Hilton]

Just as we were getting ready to lament the lack of punk piercings on last night’s red carpet, save for the bevy of jewel-encrusted ear cuffs that made the rounds, we took a closer look at Jessica Biel, only to discover that Mrs. Justin Timberlake had slipped on a septum ring for the occasion. Well played. [Daily Mail]

Botox, meet Frotox. The purified botulinum-toxin alternative consists of injecting liquid nitrogen into nerves that control wrinkles, causing fine lines to “hibernate” for up to four months. [Jezebel]

Many celebs used the Costume Institute’s punk theme as an excuse to go all out with their nail art, which made for highlights like Blake Lively’s purposely chipped foils, Rita Ora’s gilded talons, and Nicole Richie’s fancy moon manicure, pictured above. [Celebrityredcarpet.co.uk]

Kate Moss As Manicurist; Jennifer Aniston Lightens Up; And More…

Rimmel brand ambassador Kate Moss is one of the most well-coiffed women in the world, but when it comes to her nails, she prefers a DIY approach. “I’m really good at painting, and other people’s. I like doing it. It’s one of the things I like to do on holiday—a lineup of all the girls and make their nails look nice.” [Telegraph]

Hair extensions have enjoyed the limelight for the past few years, especially on the red carpet. But new reports of blinding headaches, patchy hair, and even permanent hair loss caused by the instant lengtheners might make you think twice before indulging in them. Good thing it’s all about short cuts for Spring. [Daily Mail]

Jennifer Aniston has gone platinum blonde! The actress’s icy glam look is only for a movie, though. [Just Jared]

What is Blake Lively’s telltale sign that she has put on a few pounds? Her pants get a little too snug. “I tend to gain weight in my hips, so when I know my jeans are little tight it’s, ‘Oh crap, time to work it off.” Stars: They’re just like us! [Fox News]
