Do cellulite creams really work or are they just a marketing ploy? Are there any tried-and-trusted solutions or anything you can do with your diet to fight cellulite?
“Unfortunately, there’s no magic bullet for cellulite. There are some natural contributing factors, like genetics, that can cause the condition. However, making changes in your diet and skincare routine can help. Our bodies store toxins in fat and cellulite, so cleansing can be beneficial in helping the body to release those stored toxins and reducing cellulite. Maintaining a whole-foods diet with an emphasis on a variety of fresh produce, lots of water, and healthy elimination can help reduce cellulite long-term. Skincare practices like skin brushing, bongers (an ancient massage tool, available at bongersmassagetool.com), and essential oils that increase circulation can also help get your lymph moving and reduce cellulite. One of my favorites is grapefruit essential oil. When used in massage, grapefruit essential oil can help to reduce cellulite. Blend two drops of grapefruit essential oil with two drops of lemongrass essential oil in 5 ml. of organic macadamia oil and massage into the affected area twice daily until dimpling reduces. Another favorite of mine is the Pure Energy Elixir by Lotus Wei; applied to the bum and thighs, the essential oils and flower essences are excellent for circulation and detox.”
