Inglot Blocks Off Studio Time for the Masses

Since launching its U.S. flagship in Times Square three years ago, Inglot has proved that it can contend with the other beauty big-wigs that have since staked their claim on that prime piece of real estate. The Polish retail success story may have just done the MACs and Sephoras of the world one better, though. Today marks the official opening of the brand’s Artist Loft, a 6,000-square-foot multiuse space located at its Chelsea Market store that’s been retrofitted as a veritable beauty paradise for makeup artists and enthusiasts alike. Part retail destination, part business center, part professional photo studio, it comes equipped with the brand’s entire range of products, as well as camera equipment, a host of experts, and big-screen TVs, making it an unbelievable, free destination for Inglot Pro Members to hold seminars and test shoots, while offering the average consumer a venue for wedding-makeup trials, face-painting parties, and the like for a small fee that ranges from $20 to $50. It can also host corporate events, which should breathe new life into the average office party.

Inglot Keeps Its Eyes On The Prize

Inglot has come a long way in the 25 years since Wojtek Inglot, a Polish R&D developer at a pharmaceutical company, switched gears to focus on bold makeup palettes with advanced formulas. By long way, we’re specifically referring to the trip from Poland and countless other global retail destinations to Times Square, where the brand opened its first US flagship in 2009. Now boasting six Stateside stores—including two in New York—the company is adding a brand new customizable offering to its patented Freedom System, a magnetic case concept that lets you snap any range of eye shadows, blushes, brow, and lip products into a single, purse-friendly compact. This week, Inglot will introduce Rainbow Eye Shadows, a collection of twenty different matte pigments to mix-and match at will. The smoky eye just got a little easier.

Tory Burch, The Makeup; Suri Cruise, Beauty Icon

Suri Cruise loves heels—and red lip gloss, it now seems. Critics are chastising her famous parents for letting her grow up too fast, but we say, simmer down: Going into Sephora as an adult is a magical experience—we can only imagine how fun it must be for a 3-year-old. [Daily Mail]

A new reason to flock to Times Square is emerging, as the neon-lit tourist destination is gaining a reputation as New York City’s mecca for beauty. Inglot, two Sephora stores, Bare Escentuals, L’Occitane, and Walgreen’s have all set up shop there, and a bigger- and better-than-ever MAC Cosmetics
outpost is slated to open in April. Foot traffic will likely go from overbearing to unbearable in just a few short months. [WWD]

Ryan Reynolds will be the new face of Hugo Boss fragrances. Unless wife Scarlett Johansson will also be appearing in the campaign, we’re definitely, maybe, not that interested. [WWD]
