Roger Vivier
What: We told you about Inès de la Fresange’s new fragrance collection for Roger Vivier back in July, and while the scents won’t officially launch until October, the RV Boutique on Madison will be previewing all five of them tonight, while hosts like Leighton Meester and Coco Brandolini sip Champagne and toss back a canapé or two.
When: 6 to 11 p.m.
Where: 750 Madison Ave. at 65th street, NYC
Revlon at Rag & Bone
What: The makeup giant’s global artistic director, Gucci Westman, will be taking up residence at husband and Rag & Bone designer David Neville’s Mercer Street storefront with Revlon’s brand ambassador Holly Berry in tow. Ping-pong, burgers, and mini-makeovers will abound, as will Westman’s new ColourBurst Lipstick in Fashion’s Night Pout (cle-ver), a creamy nude that will not be sold in stores but will be doled out to anyone who makes a purchase or donates to Berry’s Jenesse Center Foundation.

First Look: Jade Jagger Does Shalimar

The storied love affair between the seventeenth-century Indian prince Shah Jahan and his beloved Princess Mumtaz Mahal inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal, one of the greatest monuments ever built. It also happened to inspire the creation of Shalimar, arguably one of the greatest fragrances of the twentieth century. Named for the magnificent Indian garden that witnessed the couples’ epic romance, Jacques Guerlain’s oriental eau has captured the hearts—and noses—of millions of women, cherished for its rich, opulent scent and its Baccarat crystal flacon with the blue stopper. Since debuting in 1925 at the International Exposition of Decorative Arts in Paris, the fountainlike curves of the original Shalimar bottle have experienced their fair share of transformations. The streamlined “bat bottle” sticks out in recent memory, having encapsulated the vanilla, iris, opopanax (sweet myrrh), and Tonka bean scent since 2001. With a new decade upon us, though, Shalimar’s eau de parfum bottle was due for a post-aughties makeover—and who better to come in at the design helm than rock progeny-turned-jewelry designer Jade Jagger? (Keith Richards’ wife and daughters have already served as spokesmodels for the fragrance, and you can never really have too many Rolling Stones tie-ins, right?) Jagger’s bottle (above, left) officially debuts in September, but we’re premiering it here to ogle its new shape (oh, the beveled glass!) and see a couple of its predecessors, including the original. If we could somehow program a “seek and find” game so you could click what’s new and what has stayed the same, we would. Until then, please feel free to list your discoveries in the comments section below. Which bottle is your favorite?
Guerlain To Update Shalimar; Jennifer Aniston Drinks Smart, Eats Solids; And More…
It appears as though Jade Jagger is getting in on the beauty game. The rock progeny-cum-jewelry designer has signed on to update Guerlain’s 85-year-old Shalimar bottle, due out this fall. If you’ll recall, Keith Richards’ wife and daughters used to front the perfume’s ad campaign; it seems as though Guerlain has decided to keep things in the family Stones. [WWD]
“I’ll starve to death before I’ll cook for myself. I think I could survive a week without eating.” —Megan Fox, actress, role model, and self-proclaimed germaphobe. Sexiest woman alive, eh? [Independent]
At least now we know Fox isn’t on Hollywood’s newfangled baby food diet (pureeing food requires a fair bit of effort). And for that matter, neither is Jennifer Aniston, who has recently denied reports that she went off solids to shed pounds for a new role. Those washboard abs she’s sporting in her new Smart Water campaign are all thanks to running, yoga, and “hydration [she] can feel.” [Huff Po]
Salma Hayek Pinault is anti-Botox—and plastic surgery in general, as per the new issue of InStyle. But how does she feel about the new “no-trace face” techniques? [USA Today]
By now, most Twi-hard fans are aware that Robert Pattinson has cut his hair. What you may not have heard, however, is that some of those floppy brown discarded locks have gone missing. Look out for the eBay auction coming soon. [MTV U.K.]
Jade, Alice, And Pixie, Power Trio

This image from last night’s British Fashion Awards is exciting for four reasons: Jade Jagger’s bangs, Alice Dellal’s signature shaved-on-one-side dirty-blond locks, Pixie Geldof’s challenging headpiece, and the fact that the three of them are all standing together for one hell of a black-clothes-only photo op. Please also note how individual accessorizing inclinations only serve to further the hairstyle stigmas on display here, those being classy, punk, and, um, “different,” respectively. We appreciate the fashion and beauty continuity. You?
