Just five months after giving birth to her third child, Jennifer Garner is back in the Hollywood spotlight and looking arguably better than ever. Last night, Garner was a total knockout in a ruched, draped Lanvin sheath at the Hollywood premiere of her new film The Odd Life of Timothy Green. But while many celeb spectators focused on the actress’ post-baby bod, it was her artfully disheveled hair and natural makeup that caught our attention. By keeping her face and pout neutral, Garner put the focus on her sparkly green peepers, which were rimmed with kohl and dusted with a shimmery gray shadow. She balanced out the dramatic eye by scraping her hair back into a loose updo and letting a few wavy locks frame her face.
As we’re already a week into Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we thought now would be a good time to talk about Neutrogena’s annual partnership with the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). Its Choose Skin Health campaign will be running through July and encourages Americans to regularly perform skin self-examinations and protect themselves from the sun. And since nothing hammers a point home like a celebrity-endorsed statement, the brand has a few boldfacers on board this year, too: Jennifer Garner is on print duty, while Malin Akerman stars in a skintimate video running on its Web site. One of the best features of the program is its database of doctors, all of whom are offering free skin cancer detection screenings this month. Click here to find a physician near you. In similar news, Aveeno kicked off its “Road to Healthy Skin Tour” this week, which also offers free full-body skin cancer screenings inside a 38-foot traveling mobile home, conducted by local board-certified dermatologists. (Yes, stripping down in an RV sounds a little shady, but the stats posted on Aveeno’s site about cancerous markings that’ve already been found on participants are staggering.)
When we first saw this headline we misread the last name and thought, “Emma Watson‘s doing beauty now? Huh. She seemed to be positioning herself as something of a fashion darling, but hey, no harm in double dipping.” When we realized our mistake, our next thought was, “Emma Roberts? Wait. Who?” And so we did a quick Google search: Apparently the latter Emma is a teen queen, niece of Julia, and enough of a household name (in households not including ours) to win herself a big Neutrogena contract alongside the likes of Diane Lane, Jennifer Garner, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere, and Gabrielle Union. Details of the Hotel for Dogs star’s campaign have yet to be disclosed, although we’re guessing the 18-year-old will front one of the brand’s acne cleansers, like Panettiere, who is two years her senior—and who we are familiar with, for the record.
