As we count down to the Golden Globes—a ceremony that, in all of its booze-fueled glory, kick-starts awards season—many have begun to formulate their own predictions for who will occupy the winner’s circle in both the acting and the just as highly contested style categories. Before we look forward, however, we thought it would be far more informative to peer back at a dozen of this year’s female nominees to decide which of their former Golden Globes cameos is the most memorable. Julianne Moore was only just named the new face of L’Oreal’s antiaging Cellular Renaissance line, and she’s already doling out the beauty wisdom. “I think it’s a privilege to age,” says the 51-year-old flame-haired actress. “Often as adult women, you hear people say that they wish they were younger—to which I say, enjoy where you are. Because by wishing that you are younger, you really only end up missing the year in which you’re living. So enjoy that year and every year that you have as long as you’re able.” [WWD]

Julianne Moore is a dead ringer for Sarah Palin in the new HBO flick Game Changer, which has a lot to do with an impressive hair and makeup job. “I’ve never been tan in my life, so we had to cover up my freckles, then darken my skin, and there was contouring,” says Moore, who spent two hours in the makeup chair each morning to get into character.
