Tomorrow, Nowness is launching a stop-motion video by Chanel global creative director Peter Philips that stars a series of robots he created using Chanel makeup compacts, palettes, and brushes. To tide us over until it goes live, they’ve treated us to an online vignette in which Philips talks about his beautiful life. [Nowness]

Proceedings are now being heard in the case that has Naomi Campbell facing breach of contract charges. As we previously reported, Campbell is being sued to the tune of $8 million by Moodform Mission, a cosmetics firm started by her former agent, for backing out of a fragrance deal. [WWD]

Speaking of fragrances, Halle Berry’s third—which is called, Reveal—hits shelves in February and Berry is already, um, revealing a few things about herself to help promote the mimosa flower, juicy peach, and woodsy musk eau: She prefers fruit to cupcakes; cardio to strength training; the iPad to more primitive forms of print; and shoes to bags. This week saw the premiere of Megan Fox’s new commercial for Armani Beauty and now Taylor Momsen’s video short for John Galliano’s new fragrance is making the rounds. Yes, the raccoon eyes and over-the-knee leather boots are still present, but the angst-y teen star’s complexion seems to have an uncharacteristic, dare we say, natural glow. If you look closely, she even cracks a few smiles for the camera. [E!]

Leave it to Gwyneth Paltrow to bring the controversial vitamin D debate to public attention. After being diagnosed with low bone density, the actress now subscribes to the idea that concentrated sun exposure in moderation can actually be a good thing for boosting vitamin D levels. Using her widely popular Guinness-drinking-during-pregnancy technique as precedent, we’re guessing that her go-ahead to sun worship will spread like wildfire. [Independent]

You don’t have to go out into the sun to partake in “hair tanning,” a new salon craze that mimics the function of a gradual self-tanner for your hair. The idea is to achieve that perfect shade of light brown with baby-fine highlights, à la Gisele, using a two-step system that includes a primer to boost radiance and a developer to take hair one shade lighter. The 450-square-meter relaxation cocoon with ocean views uses Sisley’s phyto-aromatic skincare line and features a “water paradise booth,” in which hot and cold showers intermingle with fragrance, sound, and light for a true multi-sensory experience. Naomi Campbell and Mary J. Blige have already been invited to experience the range of anti-stress, purifying, and energizing face and body rituals, and Kate Beckinsale indulged in Sisley’s new Supreme Anti-Age Treatment earlier this week.
