Gwyneth Paltrow Is Officially the “Most Beautiful”; Another Red Alert; And More…
People magazine has named Gwyneth Paltrow the world’s most beautiful woman of 2013. No surprise there. The GOOP creator credits her family—and that five-day-a-week Tracy Anderson Method workout regimen—for looking and feeling great. [People]
Amber Le Bon might have followed in her mother Yasmin’s footsteps when she became a model, but it’s her father, Duran Duran front man Simon Le Bon, that she goes to for beauty products. “If I’m feeling in a very naughty mood, I’ll steal some of Daddy’s Crème de la Mer,” she says. “On the whole, though, I’m very low-maintenance.” [Daily Mail]

Face of Rimmel cosmetics and Just Cavalli fragrance, Georgia May Jagger is a generous beauty-product junkie. On a recent trip to NYC, the Brit It girl picked up a big tub of the local Bee Yummy Body Cream for her pal and fellow model Cara Delevingne. The Braided Undercut Makes the Cut
Scanning through today’s wire service photos, we couldn’t take our eyes off the edgy hairstyle Ruby Rose rocked at the ARIA Music Awards in Sydney. The model/MTV VJ/recording artist (we admittedly had to look her up) created an undercut effect with strategically placed, twisted braids on one side of her head that allowed the rest of her mane to spill over the opposite shoulder in a style reminiscent of Scarlett Johansson’s ‘do at the Hitchcock premiere last week. Rose paired the bold look with a smudged cat-eye, coral pout, and graphic fringed dress by local label Romance Was Born. We love the idea of not having to shave your head in order to attain the rocker appeal of an undercut—what about you?
Burgundy Lip-Off: ScarJo Vs. Jessica Biel
Fall’s overarching “dark glamour” movement that Pat McGrath and her face-painting cohorts ushered in at the shows last season has some serious staying power. The bordeaux-lacquered lips, clean skin, and shaded lids that dominated the runways back in February have appeared on nearly every red carpet since—that’s eight whole months of allegiance to a single, wide-reaching trend—which just might be the most impressive catwalk beauty coup we’ve ever seen. Sunday night’s New York premiere of Hitchcock was no exception and featured not one but two mulberry mouth moments. Scarlett Johansson, the latest Hitchcock blonde, sported a deep matte, black-cherry pigment that bested Jessica Biel’s swipe of the glossier, claret Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in L’Exquise, in our humble opinion. Agree, or disagree? Let us know below.
Body By Palin; Scarlett Goes Hitchcock Blonde; And More…
Never mind those slightly unsettling pictures of the former governor of Alaska looking rail-thin—and sporting some…interesting highlights and frosted lipstick—that surfaced online yesterday. Sarah Palin is just fine, she says—and in the process of writing a health and fitness book. [People]
The beauty press can’t get enough of Brad Pitt as the debut of his first Chanel No. 5 ad grows near. Pitt’s latest blog fodder? Dreadlocks. The blond heartthrob gets all twisted up for the latest issue of Interview magazine. [Grazia]
