Makeup-Bag Check: Emma Stone

The Mission: Give Revlon global brand ambassador Emma Stone a daytime-appropriate, “fresh and playful” makeup look for this weekend’s early afternoon New York premiere of The Croods.

The Face Painter: Chanel celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin.

The Face: After prepping the perimeter of Stone’s skin with Chanel Sublimage Essential Regenerating Fluid to avoid making skin too shiny, Goodwin dabbed Revlon’s Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla directly on to the center of her face, fanning it out toward the edges with a Beauty Blender sponge for a diffused effect. To add a subtle, emollient sheer-pink flush, Goodwin blended Revlon’s ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creamsicle across her cheeks.

The Eyes: Building a “softer version of a smoky eye,” Goodwin used warm metallic pigments from Revlon’s ColorStay 16H Eyeshadow Quad in Addictive and the molten-brown color from its Illuminance Crème Shadow Quad in Precious Metals, which she worked in to Stone’s lash line and up through the crease of her eyes. Curling the lashes, Goodwin finished by swiping on two coats of its PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara in Black on both the top and bottom.

The Lips: Using a blend of Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Runway and Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chic, Goodwin layered the nude pigments together for a “soft look” that still provided definition.

The Result: Makeup that was easy like a Sunday morning (spent on the red carpet).
