A Statement-Lip Standoff At TIFF

-------

The Toronto International Film Festival is shaping up to be quite the beauty showcase. Amanda Seyfried attempted a muted gray lip earlier in the week, and of course there was Drew Barrymore’s homespun hair color job from Sunday night. Yesterday also proved noteworthy as Natalie Portman and actress Zhu Xuan faced off in a battle of the perfect pout, exhibiting shiny fuchsia and a glossy black at the premieres of Love and Other Possible Pursuits and Prince of Tears, respectively. Who do you think came out the winner?

Drew Barrymore Brings A Taste Of New York To Toronto

-------

With fashion week in full swing, it’s easy to forget that there are pictures being taken outside of New York City right now. But Drew Barrymore snapped us to attention with a new hairstyle last night at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Whip It. Perhaps taking cues from Daphne Guinness’ popular skunk stripe, Barrymore decided to play with black and white, blunt-cutting her medium-length blond locks and dip-dying the ends in dark pigment. It’s…interesting, to say the least. Can you get behind it or do you find the conceptual look a touch too high fashion for a trip up north?

She’s A Brick House: Charlize vs. Isabella

-------

Last night presented us with an unprecedented opportunity to compare the merits of the brick-red-verging-on-berry pout. And so, without further ado, do you prefer Isabella Rossellini’s minimal matte stain at the Toronto Film Festival or the high-shine opaque lipstick Charlize Theron sported to the launch of the new designers floor at Saks Fifth Avenue? (We know, we know. It’s hard to be impartial when Rossellini is involved, but try your best).
