Tarte Draws First Blood
Last night’s True Blood premiere already brought us one surprise in the form of Evan Rachel Wood’s epic new crop, but it turns out the vampire drama has inspired another beauty story. Today marks the debut of a limited-edition makeup collection from Tarte Cosmetics designed in homage to the hit series. The three-piece line is unsurprisingly sanguine and features a special sparkling cherry cheek stain and a mint-infused iridescent red Lip Surgence pencil for that, um, just-bitten stain. Evan Rachel Wood Makes The Cut
Evan Rachel Wood has become fodder around here for all conversations regarding hair color. One day the True Blood star is strawberry blonde, the next dark chestnut, and the day after that she’s golden. At last night’s premiere of the hit series’ fourth season, however, it wasn’t her hair color but her haircut that had us jaw-dropped. ERW has gone short—like, really, really short. It was hard not to stare at Wood’s masculine, moussed-up quiff (so on trend for Fall 2011) with its wispy, messy texture in the back. We sort of miss her long, glamorous waves, but these things can take some getting used to. What do you think?
