CND’s Latest Long Shots
Creative Nail Design has a full dance card pretty much every fashion week. Altuzarra. 3.1 Phillip Lim. Jen Kao. Karen Walker. Those are just a few of the many designers turning over finger-painting duties to the CND experts for Spring. Though its talented artists deserve much of the credit for the innovative backstage nail creations, the products themselves also warrant some props—particularly Shellac. The system—base coat plus color coat, topcoat, and a few minutes under a UV lamp—was a major industry game changer when it debuted last year as it requires zero drying time and lasts two weeks without chipping or disintegrating. Believe it. Now power polishers have six new shades to choose from: three bold hues (Purple Purple, Asphalt, and Hotski to Tchotchke) and three gossamer-light
iridescent ones (Zillionaire, Studio White, and Moonlight & Roses). Our favorite shade happens to be a combination of two: a base of the dark creamy gray Asphalt topped with the barely-there opalescent pink Moonlight & Roses. Just think: If you get into the color combo now, you won’t need a new manicure until well into Milan. Click here to find a Shellac salon near you.
