Rodial’s Mass Appeal
Missoni, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte, Liberty of London—Target has made a success of creating affordable variations of big-name (and big price tag) designer favorites. And while its expertise has thus far been predominantly limited to fashion and home goods, the retail giant is about to dip its toes into prestige beauty in a major way. Beginning this weekend, Target stores will be stocked with Nip+Fab, the mass version of Maria Hatzistefanis’ upscale U.K. skincare brand Rodial. Much like its originator, Nip+Fab focuses not only on transforming the face but also the body (Rodial’s nonsurgical line of topical wonder creams like its Tummy Tuck and Body Sculpture are its claim to fame). Highlights from the 14-piece premiere are the Dry Leg Fix, a super-rich panacea for weather-worn gams; the Dark Circle Fix, a hydrating puffiness reducer that helps make up for sleepless nights; and the Sheer Makeup Fix, a wondrous little multitasker that smooths skin, plumps lines, and evens out blotchiness. (Editor’s note: It also makes a great primer underneath makeup). Seeing as how nothing in the range will set you back more than $20, we’d highly recommend indulging in all three.
