Drugstore Discovery of the Week: Say Yes To Grapefruit
Yes To, the skincare brand born from the effective combination of purifying Dead Sea salt and mud mixed with botanical extracts, made slathering on your vegetables fun when it launched seven years ago. Using beta-carotene-rich carrots in its debut collection ultimately led to line extensions that have harnessed the power of refreshing cucumbers; brightening, lycopene-enriched tomatoes; and antioxidant-loaded blueberries in cleanser and moisturizer form. Now, in keeping with its 95-percent natural, paraben- and petroleum-free promise to consumers, the company has tapped into—or sliced into, rather—another super food: grapefruit. The tart citrus’ fruit acids help reduce pigmentation and enhance radiance—while also boasting a subtle, sweet scent. The seven-piece range, which just launched in drugstores with a Daily Facial Scrub, Facial Towelettes, an SPF 15 Moisturizer, Dark Spot Correcting Serum, Dark Circle Correcting Eye Cream, and Exfoliating Body Wash, also includes a Dark Spot Correcting Body Crème, which was the surprise standout when we sampled the offerings. Arms and legs often get the short end of the skincare stick, but it’s just as important to treat them to hyper-charged ingredients, like the puffiness-reducing masterwort and skin-tone-evening argan oil found in this emollient salve, if your end game is head-to-toe pampering (and it should be).
