NARS Makes A Multiple For Manhattan
When François Nars finally opened a New York flagship at 413 Bleecker Street in the West Village two years ago, his devoted acolytes rejoiced—and not just because finally there was a single destination from which they could procure all manner of the makeup man’s most popular offerings. The other big draw was the 413 BLKR product range that Nars launched exclusively at his debut brick-and-mortar. First came a new Pure Matte Lipstick in a totally lust-worthy shade of brick red—which, it should be noted, preceded the nineties tributes that were later echoed on the Fall 2012 runways; then came a corresponding Larger Than Life Lip Gloss and an Eyeshadow in light mauve, followed by a Duo Eyeshadow in light mauve and dark aubergine, as well as a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in bright fuchsia. The next addition to the line is a brand-new Multiple, which will arrive on Friday, just in time for the shows, when the need for multitasking makeup is at a premium. Bearing a striking resemblance to the original Pure Matte Lipstick, the three-in-one tube has a slightly more claret undertone, with a matte finish that happens to look incredibly natural on eyes, lips, or cheeks. Add it to your list of fashion-week essentials.
$39, available February 1 at NARS, 413 Bleecker Street, NYC, and NARS, 8412 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles.
