An Intoxicating Duo
As the sweet smell of the holidays makes its triumphant return alongside pumpkin-spice and gingerbread lattes, so too do the feasts and festivities…and requisite gift for the gracious host holding the aforementioned celebration. Instead of deciding between a candle and a bottle of wine, why not bring both? Fragrance designer DayNa Decker teamed up with Estancia Winery, located in Monterey, California, to create a pair of vino-inspired candles. “Wine and scent are both integral parts of entertaining,” Decker said of the beauty-meets-booze collaboration.
To capture the essence of the winery’s Monterey County Chardonnay, the scent specialist included crisp hints of lemon zest, Anjou pear, and soft vanilla in her signature soy wax formulation. And similar to the olfactory composition you’d discover after swirling a glass of Monterey County Pinot Noir, Decker blended raspberry, cherry, and cinnamon notes. Whether you prefer white or red, lighting one of these luxe candles is sure to make the season merry and bright.
$44 per candle or $80 for the set, www.daynadecker.com.
