Drew Gets Back To Her Roots
The dip-dyed tips Drew Barrymore sported to the Toronto International Film Festival last September met with mixed reviews; finding ourselves at an uncharacteristic loss for words, we simply called it “interesting.” Proving that she isn’t afraid of stark color contrasts—or a little criticism—she reprised the look at Nylon magazine’s Denim Issue party this week in L.A., but this time, the ombré, top-down approach she took was an undisputed hit. Letting her dark brown roots grow in about four inches, Barrymore had her colorist blend the chestnut color into dark amber and gold tones before finishing off her mid-lengths with lighter, cornsilk strands. Add to this some pink blush on the apples of her cheeks and a nude lip, and the actress/director was sitting very pretty. Although maybe you preferred her more drastic approach to color play?
