The “Pob,” Then And Now
Victoria Beckham has seen her fair share of hair transformations over the years—including, but not limited to, her super-straight Spice Girls middle-part moment and her much lauded pixie-cut phase. But the pop star-cum-designer’s most memorable coiffing expedition would have to be the bob—which she made her own with super-sleek asymmetry in brunette and blond incarnations back in 2007, thus earning the oft-replicated style its own moniker, the “pob.” After dabbling in some extended length and subsequent updos of late, Posh’s pob is back, making an impressive showing last night at a party for LG’s new phone at Soho House’s West Hollywood outpost, where Ms. Beckham played host. The Pob 2.0 is roughly the same cut as the original—heavy, longer layers up front, short in the back—but this new incarnation is looser and softer. It’s more pretty, less severe, which we kind of prefer. But what say you?
