Makeup Bag Check: Miranda Kerr
The Mission: Properly primp Miranda Kerr for her first, post-baby CFDA Fashion Awards, while respecting her eco-conscious beauty mantra.
The Face Painter: Makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift for RMS Beauty.
The Face: “I wanted to warm up Miranda’s skin and add a soft, tanned look,” says Swift, whose all-natural cosmetics line works in harmony with Kerr’s own green-leaning skincare range, Kora Organics. To give Kerr a sun-kissed glow with an allover sheen, Swift combined her RMS Beauty Uncover Up in #44, a rich caramel color, with her fan-favorite Living Luminizer, which she dotted across Kerr’s cheekbones, and the bridge of her nose to catch the light.
The Eyes: For lids that were “clean and simple,” Swift lined both the upper and lower rims of Kerr’s eyes using Lancôme Pencil Liner in Black before adding a few slashings of Shu Uemura Classic Mascara, also in black, for fluttery drama.
The Lips: Swift kept Kerr’s mouth subdued—but polished—patting her RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek pigment in Modest onto Kerr’s pout for a soft pink stain.
The Result: A wow body (Kerr did more than justice to her curve-hugging, slit-up-to-there, cutout Michael Kors gown) and the face to match.
