Kate, Still Great
Kate Moss is, by all accounts, the superest model of them all. After 25 years at the top of the fashion industry, Ms. Moss is still winning campaigns and covers over catwalkers many years her junior, in large part thanks to her now-iconic high cheekbones, insanely wide-set eyes, and self-proclaimed “gangly teeth.” The woman who has “never seen [herself] as sexy,” as she recently told The New York Times, is now the subject of Kate, a book that immortalizes that face and that body in a beautiful, glossy hardback, the U.K. release of which Moss celebrated last night in London. One look at her bronzed skin and imperfectly perfect eyeliner in the often unforgiving light of the paparazzi flashbulbs, and the tributary tome seemed more than warranted, at least from a beauty perspective, because here’s the cold hard truth: Others have laid claim to it, but as far as we’re concerned, Kate Moss owns the black smoky eye. Would you agree?
