Lattice At Work
Braid crowns are a dime a dozen at red-carpet events these days, but every once in a while, someone gives them an exciting, accessorized twist. At this weekend’s Bloomberg & Vanity Fair cocktail reception following the 2013 White House Correspondents’ dinner in Washington, D.C., that person was Olivia Wilde. Channeling a Gatsby-era headpiece, the Revlon ambassador tied a strip of black lace across her forehead and then wove the fabric through her lengths for a textural effect before overlapping the plaits and pinning them down. It presumably went over well with the politicos—not to mention the beauty enthusiasts. Do you like?
