What goes equally well with spring's bold-print bikinis, filmy frocks, and preppy sportswear? Clean, manicured digits, of course. At least that was the thinking backstage at Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, and Zac Posen, where manicurists polished and pruned models' nails to perfection. "It was all very neutral," manicurist Ji Baek says of the short, mostly nude nails she created at Narciso Rodriguez and Zac Posen. "With so much color and pattern going on in the clothes, it was important that the nails were clean and short, to balance things out."
