So long to perfectly coordinated outfits. Designers went all out with mismatched prints at the Resort/Cruise 2013 shows. Every combination of stripes, graphics, polka dots, plaid and animal prints could be seen paired flawlessly coming down the runway.
Designers at the Resort/Cruise 2013 shows had a lighter more whimsical take on prints. While previous runways maintained a stronger more graphic aesthetic, the Resort lines emphasized watercolor florals, blurred abstract prints, and wavy stripes.
Not a single colored anymore... but two times the colors. Double-toned everything, double the fun!
In the teens, graphic prints will rule the land and fashion will be better!!
This isn't math, but bold prints that use geometric shapes and patterns to create great lines, definition, and symmetric/asymmetric prints in clothing.
Prints: My favorite area of prints to cover each season is the stipe & the dot. It is every designer's task at one point or another to reinvent this surface textile design and make it new & fresh...once again.
