PRINTS FALL 2009: A look at how each designer incorporated prints into the collections this season.

Prints: Inspired by nature & the nature of design. Prints that create a fluid motion comprised of elements found in the lives of carbon exchange. some are recognizable....and some are not, unless you walk aroung with a microscope.

Prints: My favorite area of prints to cover each season is the stipe & the dot. It is every designer's task at one point or another to reinvent this surface textile design and make it new & fresh...once again.

Prints: We sometimes forget that plaid is a staple print in fashion design. This season was full of genius interpretations of color & form that gave birth to new ideas in a yarndye that has been an integral part of fashon design for centuries.

Abstract variations of familiar textiles from remote regions of the world will create distinct cool weather looks on the racks.

Prints: Every winter designers are faced with the arduos task of devloping looks for the Holiday season. This season"s holiday appeal took on the richness of age old tapestries paired with ultra modern fabrications.

Prints: This is a look at how several designers chose to develop & interpret abstract geometric looks in prints this season. Garments take on a personality of movement and artistic reference when infused with color and angular demension.
