Under the Influence
If the crowd at Bergdorf Goodman last night was particularly arty, that's because Linda Fargo and Joshua Schulman were toasting Reed Krakoff's new book: Women in Art: Figures of Influence. Published by Assouline, the volume features photographs of leading women in the art world, from Almine Rech and Dominique Lévy to Marianne Boesky and Shaun Regen, all lensed by Krakoff and all wearing his clothes. The designer, who was joined at dinner by the likes of Marie-Amélie Sauvé, Vanessa Traina, Frédéric Fekkai, and Tenzin Wild, was in particularly good spirits. Having announced his exit from Coach, he's able to devote more time to his three-year-old signature collection—and to his side projects.
"I have a list of about fifty book ideas. They're all on my phone," Krakoff told Style.com. So what's next—Women in Fashion? Explaining that fashion types are particularly demanding about the details—i.e., where they fall in the order of the book, how many pages they get—he laughed off the idea. "That might be a little tricky."
