Hands Down: Favorite Moment of the Year So Far
It’s no surprise that the year is quickly ending. :/ Like, WOW, 2013 for me was just a goal to get to. The dumb media even told us we wouldn’t make it past 12/12/12. They said the world would end, but guess what y’alls: WE STILL HERE! But now it’s time to reflect on this great year!
Becoming a walking, dancing, fire-breathing lifestyle dragon is not something you can pursue overnight! It takes years of studying, living, and understanding the modern CULTURE! The right vibes and the right people are the two key ingredients! I’ve also become a bit of a historian lately, catching up on classic iconic New Yorkers and their stories, such as Halston, Andy Warhol documentaries like Paris Is Burning, and crazy downtown LES legends like GG Allin! <— real raw crazy vibes, check it with caution.Very chill, bro.
Moving forward, I try to embody everything about lifestyle as my forefathers have before me. And it lands me teaming up with cool BRANDS I’ve always admired and viewed as iconic! I have gotten the privilege to play private shows for the top staff at the Nike campus in Portland, and I played a private performance for the Apple HQ marketing team in California last spring, to name a few!! Brands want new excitement, and I’m here to respectfully deliver so both parties involved can instantly evolve to newer heights! My favorite brand I have ever artistically collaborated, entertained, and supported over the years is the huge house that Coco Chanel built: CHANEL. Karl Lagerfeld is the hardest-working man in showbiz! It’s so incredible that he is still working his brain to deliver high-quality memories you can own forever!TL for The Little Black Jacket.
I first met Karl Lagerfeld on a project called The Little Black Jacket! Presented by Carine Roitfeld and Karl, who picked their fave people of the moment to be shot by Mr. Lagerfeld and exhibited all over the world in large, life-size pictures and museums across the globe. My team and I hit it off very well with the smart, forward-thinking Chanel team of Paris! I admire the women behind the scenes! P.S. “Behind the scenes girls” will forever have my heart!
So after attending every Chanel event over the last year, whether it was in Paris, Australia, London, or NYC, WE OUT HERE! (As the kids say.) Karl is like Michael Jackson to me! His style, his attitude, and his demeanor are soooooo rock star. He is actually the only person beside my grandmother who I took my hat off for upon greeting! The upmost respect! And Karl walks so slow, like he is floating in slow motion! It’s a huge attention grabber! I’m gonna walk super, super slow to when I turn 40 or something. To me walking and floating slow represents how wealthy you are! Haha.Karl, Rita, and me at rehearsals and stuff.
I then got an invitation I couldn’t refuse to lose! Karl Lagerfeld and team invited me to play the annual Bal de la Rose du Rocher, hosted by Princess Caroline of Monaco and Karl Lagerfeld, in company of the richest people I ever met, and cool babes like Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne, a lot of royal babes, and a lot of rich cougars! My type of party!Cara in the 400,000 Euro couture Chanel dress vibes.
In my downtime, I roamed the bright, beautiful city of Monaco as much as I could. Taking in the beauty and the laid-back comfortable lifestyle the locals effortlessly ooze through their aura. I’m still high off the helicopter ride that took us from the airport in Cannes str8 to Monaco. Will never forget the way the sun shined over the mountains and creeks of the island.
The day of the party we spent rehearsing with Karl and crew to prepare for the event! Karl loves to have walk-throughs so he can feel out the vibes and/or creatively make changes on the spot! (Note taken.) The night was wild! I danced with a mature, very elderly woman during my performance, which got everybody hyped up and stuff! Then I did an “Oops” Tweet cover with Rita Ora! IT WAS A’ NICE [in Borat voice].
For one night I felt like a king, or prince or something! For one nightMe and Rita Ora duet.
