Giuseppe Zanotti Tells Why He Can’t Get Enough of the Waverly
In the heart of the West Village, on a quiet street corner, sits the Waverly Inn. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We sit watching as dusk transforms the patio into an enchanted garden. Ivy wraps along the brick walls, candles softly light the room, and an August breeze fills the air. I am happy to be here with my team; we are very close-knit. In many ways, we are like a big family. We share stories over wine and laugh like old friends.
The Waverly Inn was also the first of a few places where I celebrated my brand’s 20th anniversary. I hosted a dinner there in June. It was an intimate gathering of friends and editors who have supported me over the years. Hosting an event in New York was very important to me; it is where I started my career and is a constant source of inspiration. I try to absorb everything—the streets, the people, and the overwhelming energy of the city. I love exploring different areas of New York; each neighborhood has a life of its own. The West Village is probably my favorite; it has the same inviting charm as the Waverly Inn.
