Viva la Vacanza: Taking to the Mediterranean for the Sail of the Season
There is something magical about sailing across the ocean on sparkling waters in between the islands of Sicily. Last week was spent with our longtime friends on a boat sailing the Egadi Islands (also known as the Aegadian Islands) in the Mediterranean Sea off the northwest coast of Sicily.
With no tourists on the horizon, the trip was filled with the beautiful sights and the splendor of each place, the whisper of the wind, and the echoes of our laughter. Our adventure started at Trapani, the capital of the Province of Trapani, followed by Marettimo, Levanzo, Favignana, Castellammare del Golfo, Scopello, and San Vito lo Capo.
This trip is a must for anyone who likes to discover the hidden gems on a map.
