They teamed it with a matching knit dress and socks and black and white Gravati spectator shoes. For designers who made their mark with an understated sort of minimalism, they sure let it rip in their Resort collection for The Row. Yes, there was plenty of white cotton suiting (this time with a 1940's, Italian seaside slant), but the real charmers here were the evening numbers, special pieces that involve the kind of elaborate, time-consuming handwork, they explained, that their factories rarely do anymore.
Case in point: a little tank top entirely constructed from tatted metal wire flowers worn with high-waisted silk shorts. A white and mint green jumpsuit boasting gorgeous Art Deco beaded sleeves, likewise, looked like an instant collector's item for a woman whose bank account rivals the Olsens. MK and Ashley like it luxe, but they're smart enough to know that a successful brand is a diversified brand. Enter a new collaboration with the jewelry designer Ileana Makri. The sisters are so into the ankle chains they've made together that they're fighting each other to wear them. Today, Ashley came out ahead; she was wearing a couple on each foot.
