At Alexander Wang's main collection, the moral of the story was leather.
At T, the story got subverted. The new tee by T resembles leather. It's actually a chintzed cotton that shines like skin. T's basics-for-bargains
mandate keeps its offerings relatively stable season after season. Its
slubby shirts will always have a home. But in these little digressions of
fabric development, Wang keeps everyone interested. A new waxed-cotton series of inside-out jackets and elastic-waist boxing shorts are water repellent. Those shorts came, too, in what you'd swear was a
weather-beaten suede. Surprise! It's cracked leather. Keeps 'em guessing, that Wang.
