Haute couture—the ultimate in fashion indulgence. Clothes made from exquisite materials, lavished with extraordinary embellishments, made painstakingly by hand by the world's most skilled tailors, seamstresses and crafts artists. What's not to love? But should you happen upon a spare half mil or more (dollars or euros, it doesn't matter, they're close), a new wardrobe might be just what it takes to chase away Winter doldrums. Here, a few suggestions from the City—and runways—of Light.—Bridget Foley
