Doo.Ri

NEW YORK, December 5, 2008
By Nicole Phelps
Doo-Ri Chung's first pre-fall outing was a focused group of about a dozen looks. Working in black, white, gray, minty blue, and the new-for-her category of prints, she concentrated primarily on dresses (usually sleeveless, with gathered waists, and cut above the knee). Cascades of ruffles at the neckline, sometimes paved in sequins, gave the pieces a sweet, youthful feel. On the edgier side were a sheer black tank and oversize cardigan worn with the collection's only trousers: a pair of on-message silky pajama pants.
