Abaeté

NEW YORK, June 19, 2008

It's unclear whether fans (both starlet and civilian) of Laura Poretzky's Abaeté collection will care that the saturated colors and geometric prints in her first full-fledged Resort collection are based on Ellsworth Kelly paintings. They'll likely just be happy to have more of her imminently wearable dresses, here in clean shapes with graphic piping. Perhaps they'll even expand to other categories—striped polo knits, tux-inspired tailored pieces—also worthy of attention.
