Jean Paul Gaultier cut his one-note Resort collection almost entirely from polyester mesh in various prints—island rococo, tropical foliage, and jewelry patterns. (A few solids were thrown in the mix.) Available only to the American market, the user-friendly beach staples will resonate with long-standing fans of the designer's tattoo-style separates, but they'll likely disappoint anyone searching for a grander creative statement.
