Yigal Azrouël

NEW YORK, May 30, 2008
By Romney Leader
Yigal Azrouël's Resort collection, much like his Spring and Fall, was aimed at the girl who hits the Montauk surf at dawn and the red carpet at dusk. For day, fabrics were milk-washed and silhouettes were loose. Evening looks showcased Azrouël's penchant for draping, with paneled silk organza skirts and a Botticelli-worthy liquid jersey column. Twisted beaded necklines and fan-pleated shoulders kept things interesting. "I like things you can just throw on," the designer said, "but it has to have an edge."
