Doo.Ri

NEW YORK, June 4, 2009

"Resort is about the customer," said Doo-Ri Chung, sitting in her bright white studio next to a rack of gray and blue dresses that are sure to please her fans. Chung played it safe (though no doubt smart) with signature jerseys that came twisted and pleated for Resort, but she also added a sense of play to the collection, working a sequin print into a sexy float-top spaghetti-strap dress. "I tried to keep the clothes simple, but with enough experiment and design so that they don't look like anyone else's," Chung explained. Overall, mission accomplished.
