It's been a while since Miu Miu could simply be regarded as Prada's little sister, and further proof of that came with a full-blown Resort show in the label's recently opened 57th Street boutique, complete with uniformed waiters passing drinks before the parade. This line has a well-developed subversive streak, of course, and one of Resort's main tropes was to take the maillot shape and repurpose it in the form of halter tops (worn with rah-rah skirts) or printed sheer chiffon leotards. Those wouldn't cut it in the office pool, but we might test the waters with a blue and red number with a girlish crisscross back, or one of the plainer pastel ensembles featuring attractive jeweled hardware. Cape-backed dresses, which bore a relation to Prada's Resort silhouette, will offer urbanites a welcome alternative to air-conditioning. See all from Miu Miu › Timeline
