Tibi

Amy Smilovic is frank about her latest effort. "It's just fashion," she said at her Resort preview. "It's not going to fix any major global issues." Perhaps, but these clothes should solve a few wardrobe dilemmas for the designer's ever growing customer base (Tibi's opened ten new doors in Asia since January). Drawing inspiration from the "good ol' days" of Palm Beach (read: pre-Madoff), Smilovic focused on silky strapless jumpsuits, brightly patterned rompers, sheer beaded caftans, and jersey crepe "sweatpants" with elastic cuffs. The palette was suitably rosy: Shades of coral, salmon, and blush predominated.
