The Moschino Cheap And Chic girl wears her heart on her sleeve—or on her hip in the case of Rossella Jardini's pre-fall collection. A silk marocain shift dress had a big ol' ticker plunked on one side for a bit of whimsy, and the iconic heart also came in an abstract interlocking print on a sweet shirtdress. In fact, there were playful details everywhere you looked here: built-in bijoux, outsize buttons, and this season's practically de rigueur trompe l'oeil is-it-a-top-and-skirt-or-is-it-a-dress? dress. One jacket even had a clutch purse sewn into the hem. But it wasn't all bells and whistles. Cases in point: the tweedy suiting separates and a smart khaki trench piped in black.
