Daryl K

NEW YORK, June 23, 2010
By Romney Leader
The minimal look she helped popularize during the nineties may be back on the fashion radar, but Daryl Kerrigan is taking it in stride. "I've been doing my own thing for so long now, regardless of the trends," she said at her Bond Street studio. "It's definitely easier to sell things these days, though." The designer reintroduced a number of styles from her original heyday, including a series of slouchy, washable suiting pieces and a black velvet coat. A boiled wool dress that doubled as a shawl (also available in French terry) was new for this season, but the streamlined design was classic Daryl K. The versatile designs on offer should appeal to fans who still reminisce about her famous low-slung pants, and the newly initiated alike.
