Dan and Dean Caten left the sexed-up Helmut Newton girls they imagined for Fall on the runway, choosing instead, and wisely, too, to focus on updated versions of the classic preppy tailoring their brand is built on. Among the standout looks: a clean orange leather blazer paired with a navy tee and short white sailor shorts, and a cropped double-breasted coat worn with kelly green bermudas. A tweed molded-shoulder jacket with raffia trim looked more like a nod to the trends—make that a trendy new designer—but it'll be an easy sell to the jet-setting yacht crowd that inspired the collection.
