TSE

NEW YORK, June 25, 2010
By Romney Leader
Jason Wu's Fall capsule collection for TSE drew critical raves, but in-house designers Dushane Noble and Jessica Groom proved with their latest effort that they can make a strong statement without the aid of a big name. The duo went back to basics, which was a smart move considering that the minimal knitwear designs TSE helped popularize in the nineties are having another moment. Among the highlights: clean-lined tube and tank dresses and a twinset composed of a cardigan paired with a strapless maxi shift. In a post-recession economy, it's these classic pieces—the ones that can be expected to come back in style every few years—that consumers are most willing to invest in.
