sixties. The city was clear enough: You saw it, literally, in photos screened onto little shift dresses (including the Trevi fountain, where Anita Ekberg famously waded in La Dolce V
). The sixties influence was looser. It didn't cover denim bell bottoms, for example, or femme-ified tuxedo dressing. But that's a quibble. Cheap And Chic is about uncomplicated fun, which is what a flare-skirted khaki trench and a pretty (and, in fact, quite sixties) skirt embroidered with roses were.
