Piazza Sempione

NEW YORK, June 21, 2011
By Brittany Adams
Piazza Sempione is chasing rainbows for Resort. The collection offered looks in every shade of the Roy G. Biv spectrum, which was a nice shot of energy for the upscale department store label. An Yves Klein blue anorak had a nifty, detachable skirt, and an asymmetric-hem cape that doubled as a dress came in a pretty cerise. Designers Ionna Soleas and Daniele Calcaterra know their way around a pair of pants, and they showed tapered lemon-colored trousers here with a first-rate fit. Piazza Sempione remains focused on being well crafted as opposed to cutting-edge.
