Wearing one of her best-selling silk racer-back tanks and a pair of breezy white trousers, Tibi's Amy Smilovic glided around the set of her e-commerce lookbook shoot today, fielding questions and adjusting the model. "It's about uncomplicated year-round dressing," she said of the collection. "Buy now, wear the silk pants now with flat sandals in Florida, then just toss a blazer on in the winter."

Pared-down pieces like a narrow pencil skirt cut from soft, blush-colored lambskin or a semi-sheer blouse with leather trim exemplify the designer's approach. Straightforward, yes, but never severe. The nude dress with a sheer V-neck panel and scattered gold sequins is party-ready on its own, if much cooler with its removable collar attached. We've seen similar looks from the label before, but, as Smilovic pointed out, "At some point you'd be an idiot not to redo what sells."
