After an ultra-bright Spring season that had us reaching for a pair of sunglasses, Elie Tahari
toned things down for pre-fall, showing a concise lineup full of laser-cut leather pieces with sporty neon accents. The designer rendered his signature shift in a variety of fabrics, ranging from a metallic-flecked tweedy jacquard to raw-edged chiffon smattered with sparkly bugle beads. The standout in the dress category was a to-the-knee, flouncy-hem number with a laser-cut patent leather overlay. Separates including second-skin, stretch leather pants and a soft biker jacket that fit like a cardigan rounded out the collection.
