A label rep described T by Alexander Wang as the collection Wang designs for himself. That's a sentiment that will make sense to anyone who's seen Wang bounce to any and every event, from no tie to black tie, in a T-shirt. (Though he's reformed that practice somewhat recently.) T makes no bones about its slouch. It's sweat suit heavy. As if to underscore the point, Wang took grunge for a reference this season, so the sweaters come pre-moth-eaten and the overcoat is nubby in boiled wool. Still, those sweaters are jersey lined for a comfort you don't often find at the secondhand shop, and each season sees a stride or two forward. Fall is the introduction of the first T shoe, a combo combat boot-chukka style that comes in plain, pebbled, and croc-embossed leather.
