The Milanese seem to enjoy a fashion show more than anyone else. I don't mean editors, buyers, or other industry types. I mean the people around town who turn every show into a scene. With a performance by Grace Jones promised, you can imagine the crowds trying to get into the Philipp Plein show.

Inside, top European editors had turned out to salute the designer. After a live performance, Jones introduced the show: "I love Philipp Plein and so will you." Then out came the models in leather leggings paired with gold chain sweaters, in sequin halter gowns, and in micro-mini leather dresses shown with fur jackets. Partying or not, she likes to dress up, way up: bedazzled leggings and a metallic puffer on the slopes, and for après-ski, a chunky cashmere knit encrusted with crystals.

The show ended with multiple gowns, but the good times weren't even close to over. Jones also performed at the after-party, so this was just the beginning of a long night.
