Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear
March 20, 2013 New York
Gaby Basora has always taken a confidently playful approach to designing her Tucker line, which attracts a youngish crowd with its whimsical patterns and uncomplicated silhouettes. The former stylist delivered on her signature novelty prints in the form of easy blouses, jumpsuits, and tunic dresses for Fall, but the new lineup had a decidedly more grown-up vibe, which was evident in the full midi skirts, as well as the slim yet relaxed trousers, which showed off Basora's tailoring skills. Outerwear was a surprising high note, with standouts including a cropped, Lurex-flecked tapestry coat, as well as a swingy leopard trench that will definitely turn heads on the sidewalk.
